Note on retail sales data

Retail sales data for organic products are not available annually in all countries. In many cases, market data are collected irregularly or are not publicly available. Therefore, updated retail sales figures cannot always be obtained.

To ensure the continuity and comparability of the time series and regional aggregates, the FiBL Statistics database carries forward the latest available retail sales value until a newer, reliable figure becomes available. The corresponding reference year is indicated in the Data year field.
